My Very First Climate Fresk Workshop

This was my first Climate Fresk workshop + Time: Saturday 03rd June 2023 + Venue: Gióng Cafe - District 3 + Language: Vietnamese + Facilitator: Mandy Truong + Trang Nguyen

Mandy Truong and I had been preparing for the workshop for a month, from content development and material preparation to outreach and participant recruitment. Our goal was to organize a workshop with two tables, accommodating around 12-14 participants.

By the day before the event, we had 12 registrations, and both facilitators were excited and eager for a successful session. However, on the day of the workshop, only four participants showed up, along with two main facilitators and two experienced facilitators who came to support. That meant we had four players and four facilitators. No problem! The game still started with full energy!

The most rewarding outcome of this first workshop was that we inspired one participant to become an active facilitator in Hanoi. Another participant later introduced the workshop to Michelin (learn more here). Additionally, one participant shared the experience with colleagues and helped bring Climate Fresk to the Waste and Recycling Expo Vietnam 2023 (learn more here).

So, even though the first workshop didn’t go exactly as expected, we received highly positive feedback from participants and achieved unexpected yet remarkable results.
