Exploring the Expert Fresk: Expanding Climate Knowledge

I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Expert Fresk workshop—an advanced tool designed for the Climate Fresk community. This workshop expands the traditional 42-card Climate Fresk with 40 additional cards, covering a broader range of interconnected topics that deepen our understanding of climate systems, environmental challenges, and systemic solutions.

This 4-hour session brought together a diverse group of passionate experts and facilitators, fostering collegial exchange, critical discussions, and new perspectives on climate education.

✨ Some Highlights from the Workshop:

🔹 Unraveling Complexity – We explored the intricate relationships between different climate factors, even when they seemed overwhelming and messy at first.

🔹 Shifting Perspectives – A key takeaway from Duncan Wilson was the importance of looking at climate issues from different angles, challenging our existing viewpoints.

🔹 Beyond Climate Change – I was introduced to the Planetary Boundaries Workshop, which highlights additional global challenges beyond climate change, such as biodiversity loss, ocean acidification, and land-use change.

This experience reinforced my commitment to expanding climate education and integrating new frameworks into workshops. I look forward to bringing these insights to the Climate Fresk community in Vietnam and beyond!
