This Climate Fresk workshop was especially meaningful because it brought climate education to young bakers at La Boulangerie Française HCMC, a social enterprise that provides professional training for underprivileged youth. 🌱👩‍🍳

Understanding the impact of climate change is crucial for every industry—including food production. Through this interactive session, these aspiring bakers explored the connections between climate change and their craft, from sustainable ingredient sourcing to reducing food waste. The best part? 100% of them left inspired to take action in their daily lives! 🌏✨

🌿 Since its founding in 2017, La Boulangerie Française - HCMC (LBF) has been committed to transforming the lives of over 100 youths from challenging backgrounds, training them to become professional bakery and pastry chefs. From day one, the school has integrated eco-friendly principles into both its construction and curriculum.

The bakehouse was designed with sustainability in mind, featuring glass ceiling panels that flood the space with natural sunlight while being cleverly tilted to prevent overheating. This reduces electricity consumption and ensures a comfortable working environment for students throughout the day.

LBF also prioritizes green practices in production. Earlier this year, they hosted a Climate Fresk workshop, where participants engaged in insightful group discussions and activities centered around a 42-card game, deepening their understanding of sustainability.

Inspired by the network, LBF continues to develop and implement green initiatives, steadfast in their pursuit of a sustainable future. 🌍♻️
