Climate Change & ESG Career Opportunities in Vietnam

Program Agenda:

• 1pm - 4pm : Climate Fresk Workshop – An interactive session where participants explore the causes and impacts of climate change through a collaborative game-based approach.

• Final Hour: Guest Speaker Presentation – A talk on "ESG Career Opportunities in Vietnam," followed by a Q&A session, providing insights into sustainability-driven career paths and industry trends.

Climate Fresk

Based on the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the game session designed by Climate Fresk lasts 180 minutes and helps students understand why the climate is changing at its current rate and what the consequences of this change will be. The game is conducted in an interactive and group discussion format using 42 cards, each representing a topic, cause, or impact of climate change.

Students collaborate by sharing and discussing information on cards during a group activity.

Students will work in teams of 4-7 members under the guidance of a facilitator at a dedicated table. The facilitator will support the students in group discussions to identify cause-and-effect relationships across different aspects of climate change. Through this interactive discussion process, students will gradually change their perspectives as they progress through each stage of the game. Each card, with information printed on the back, will gradually piece together a comprehensive picture of climate change.

ESG Career Opportunities in Vietnam

Following Climate Fresk session, the discussion session is organized by the Faculty of Economics and lasts 60 minutes, with the topic "ESG Career Opportunities in Vietnam" presented by Ms. Trang Nguyen - Sustainable Solutions Consultant at Planetzero.earth.

A Q&A session where students can ask questions. The discussion topics are related to the fields taught by the Faculty of Economics or subjects of particular interest to UEF students. After the speaker’s presentation and the discussion between the speaker and students, a representative from the Faculty of Economics will summarize the key takeaways from the workshop.
